Overview
Directory Dash is a free, single-page browser game (no install, no account) built as a satirical launch-week toy for people who have actually submitted a product to a directory before. Enter your own startup's domain and it becomes a cube that has to run, jump, and dodge its way through 10 fictional startup directories to get listed - fake red spikes for outright rejections, 1-star review stars, captcha blocks, cookie/newsletter popups, and slow pending review zones that stretch out the wait. It plays like a rage-platformer: quick deaths, short snarky rejection messages, instant respawn, dying is the fun part.
Key Features
- Type in your own startup's real domain and it becomes the cube you control.
- One tap, click, or any key jumps; hold to keep jumping. Works on desktop and mobile, no separate controls to learn.
- Checkpoints are on by default, an easier, forgiving run that respawns you near your last progress. Turning checkpoints off is the deliberate hard mode, a full run from zero, and finishing that way (nicknamed the miracle) gets its own rank, copy, and visual treatment.
- Every run, finished, given up, or left running overnight as a ghost attempt, gets a permanent shareable result card and link at directorydash.io/r/id.
- A live, public leaderboard at directorydash.io/leaderboard tracks Most Rejected Startups by domain, plus separate best-run boards with and without checkpoints.
- Share buttons post directly to X and LinkedIn, with a plain copy results button as a fallback.
Pricing
Free, forever, no account required, nothing to buy - there is no trial period or usage limit because there is no paid tier to trial.
Made by Blastra
Directory Dash is made by Blastra, an AI tool that actually submits real products to real directories, so the game is the comic, safe-to-laugh-at version of a process Blastra does for real, for real founders. Nothing inside the game is a real directory and nothing is actually submitted anywhere.
Comments will be available once the project is launched.
